Modernizing a 15-Year Legacy Database: Cloud Automation, Role-Based Access & SOC 2 Security

They built a cloud-based web app with a centralized cloud database, a single sign-in experience, and role-based permissions (super admins, admins, clients) that dynamically control what each user can see and do. Super admins can manage tables, rows, columns, and create custom reports, while an import manager enables bulk uploads to migrate historical on-prem data into the cloud and automatically structure it per company. The solution is SOC 2 compliant, supports MFA controls and user management, reduces client access delays, and eliminates 32-bit installation headaches, with planned enhancements for custom reporting and import error flagging.
